Trinity Centre PayItForward & Beltane Buzz - hoop parties are go!!

Over the Bank Holiday weekend we went out on the road to two hooping events! The season has well and truly begun for Pixiehoopsound!

First we went to the Trinity Centre in Bristol to do a free hoop party for their pay it forward event, check it out here http://www.3ca.org.uk/projects/pay-it-forward/news-events/free-alternative-royal-wedding-party.It was a really fun event and loads of people got involved with the hoops :) there were loads of people doing all kinds of things including puzzles, toy making, scrabble, tug of war.. it was excellent and the weather was really good so it was even better!

Two of the organisers started a tug of war and then people kept flocking in to help the losing side, including the pig!. Eventually our side lost :( but it was a good laugh anyway!

The next event of the weekend was the Beltane Buzz near St Davids in Wales. We travelled straight down after leaving the Trinity Centre on Friday afternoon. We were there primarily to provide the hula hoops but we also provided our felt workshop as Innerspiral Studio (our sister company, you can find our blog for that at innerspiral.blogspot.com). It was lots of fun and there were some serious hoop offs - at one point we were collecting festivalgoers as they walked past, everyone ended up in a massive hoop off showdown! Excellent!

Beltane Buzzing it right up :)

Well well, there's a lot going on in Pixiehoopsound land right now at the Innerspiral camp... we are busy bees! We are preparing for our mammoth festival tour this summer... taking in everything from the tiny to the giant, we are kicking off with a friendly mini fest called the Beltane Buzz this weekend, straight after our hoop party at Trinity Centre! It's in what looks like the most heavenly place, right near the beach, on the west coats of Wales, round the corner from St Davids. How lucky are we to get to celebrate Beltane in such style! So we'll be having Wanda the Wonder Cart out of course, with all the hoops and all the toys, and we'll also be having our felt making workshop and even our stall for a triple whammy dose of fun! check out http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=154311137952287 for more details - tickets are only £35 if you fancy going....

So we've been hooping like crazy the last few weeks, trying to get in shape for the festival season.... We had our first hoop party of the season at Felix Road Adventure Playground which was wicked fun as usual. Then we had a fun private party on Good Friday, with hoops and psytrance and a trampoline! Good skills :) We've got our party on friday at the Trinity Centre for the Alternative Royal Wedding Day, its gonna be hilarious, you should come and check it out, they're even having a wedding of mass distraction... After that, our first spot is at Glastonbury Festival with our felt making workshop as Innerspiral Studio, followed in direct succession by Blissfields, Priddy Folk Fayre and Larmer Tree... then its our anti stag and hen do (which will be a hoop party in itself) and then straight back on the circuit with Green Gathering, Big Chill, Endorset, One Love, Shambala.... then we get married... then its Waveform! Which will be part of our honeymoon... and then, methinks, we collapse... before getting right back on it again for all our Christmas market season!!! PHEW and CRIKEY! Its going to be interesting.... especially considering our veg garden and greenhouse will be in full swing! We'll be making mad dashed home between festivals to do some mega watering, bakinga nd bathing and then straight off again! Good job the fattie van is our comfy and friendly mini home from home!!
All we need now is for Glade Festival to get back to us and our lives will be complete...
